Pay-per-click (PPC) (also called cost-per-click) is an internet advertising method used to direct traffic to websites, in which advertisers pay the publisher (such as Google) when the ad is clicked. It is defined simply as “the amount spent to get an advertisement clicked.”

There are 6 major types of PPC ads:

Search Ads

Google Search Ads are one of the most powerful way to market your business. In fact, 41% of all clicks in Google search results go to the top three sponsored ads. And with 8.5 billion Google searches per day, this is an absolutely massive audience.

Google Search Ads appear at the top and bottom of Google’s search results page. They are text based and consist of both a headline and a description.

Google Display Ads

Display Ads are shown on Google’s Display Network, which includes over 2 million websites, videos, apps and other Google properties. Display Network sites reach over 90% of Internet users worldwide.

Display Ads use images to attract attention and are strategically placed on websites (and other platforms) based on highly targeted keywords to ensure only relevant customers see them.

YouTube Video Ads

Google’s YouTube is an absolutely massive platform, with 2.6 billion active users and over 400 minutes of content uploaded every minute.

Most Google Video Ads appear at the start, in the middle or at the end of YouTube videos and can be as short as 6 seconds. There are also Bumper Ads, Outstream Ads and Masthead Ads, each with a very different use case and audience.

We can use your existing video ads or create custom, eye-catching ads specifically for your campaign.

Google Shopping Ads

Google Shopping Ads generate 26% higher conversion rates and have a 23% lower cost-per-click than text ads. This is one of the best ways for businesses to sell physical products. They also help you increase the quality of your leads as someone clicking on your ad is directed straight to the product on your website.

Like Search Ads, Shopping Ads appear at the top of Google’s search results page as well as on the Shopping tab of Google search results. They consist of a product title, description, price, shipping information and even product reviews.

Google Local Service Ads

Local Service Ads are used by local service businesses that collect leads through phone calls online message requests. They appear right at the top of the Google search results page and are the perfect solution for service based businesses. They only show up for customers in your area and you only pay if a customer actually contacts you.

Running Local Service Ads requires passing a Google screening process and adds a Google Guaranteed icon to your listing. These ads also display your company’s name, reviews, years in business, city, operating hours, phone number and a call button.

Social Media Ads

Social media ads are very similar to Google Display Ads but they are run on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, etc. These ads use images to attract attention and encourage user interaction.
